Abstract

University culture affects activities in the university; it is present in the cultural spirit, perception, and behavior of individuals in daily work. The university culture changed in a positive direction as to how the university changed its new face in accordance with the development of higher education. This article studies the factors affecting university culture change at Saigon University, Vietnam. The researchers defined five factors that affect university culture change: academic policy, teaching goals, organizational culture, university environment, and individual perception. In addition, this study surveyed 240 lecturers and answered six questions with 29 observed variables. The results found that teaching goals and individual perceptions were the two factors that positively affected university culture change. The study used Cronbach's alpha coefficients, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and structural equation modeling (SEM) to analyze the collected data.
