Abstract

This research aims to answer the problems raised, namely how active learning in the plan of Islamic education learning process in Madrasah Tsanawiyah State 2 Medan, then how the active learning model in the ability to design a learning process plan in Islamic religious education courses in in Madrasah Tsanawiyah State 2 Medan. The subject of this study was an Islamic spiritual teacher in in Madrasah Tsanawiyah State 2 Medan. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interview, and document study. Data analysis techniques use three stages, data reduction, data display, and conclusion withdrawal, as recommended by Miles and Huberman. The result of this research is teachers in in Madrasah Tsanawiyah State 2 Medan, prepares matters related to learning, such as preparing implementation and learning plans (RPP) and other learning tools. Administratively learning documents in the form of RPP and learning devices have met the requirements. Teachers of Islamic religious education in in Madrasah Tsanawiyah State 2 Medan, have carried out active learning such activation, namely at the beginning of learning activities that invite students to be involved have not been implemented by some teachers and exploration. The involvement of students in the learning process by using active learning in general students have been involved even though there are still teachers who have not been active to include their learners. However, the results of observation of the Islamic religious learning process in class, in general, have been implemented by the Learning Implementation Plan long before the teacher has prepared the school year. Learners are already involved in learning, such as discussing in the classroom, and teachers observe during the discussion..
