E-Learning Acceptance Based On Technology Acceptance Model: A Case Study from Indonesian Students

Abstract

The Purpose of this study was to test user acceptance (students) of e-learning using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Testing is done by measuring the influence between variables in the TAM model which includes the variables Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, Attitude toward Using, Behavioral Intention and Actual System Usage. The statistical test method uses the Structural Equation Model (SEM) with the help of SmartPLS 3.0 software. The evaluation data was obtained through a questionnaire distributed by simple random sampling to 402 student respondents at one of the universities in Indonesia. Of the six hypotheses proposed in this study, all of them are declared accepted, So, Perceived Ease of Use has a significant effect on Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use has a significant effect on Attitude Toward Using, Perceived Usefulness has a significant effect on effect on Attitude Toward Using Attitude Toward Using, Perceived Usefulness has a significant Behavioral Intention, Attitude Toward Using has a significant effect on Behavioral Intention, and finally, Behavioral Intention has a significant effect on Actual System Usage.
