Abstract

Mobile payments are becoming more widely accepted as a result of recent advancements in information technology and communications, as well as the enormous transitions that the business sector is being forced to undergo. Furthermore, mobile payment acceptance was discovered to be dynamic, dependent on a variety of situational conditions such as a lack of other payment options or a sense of urgency. The primary goal of this research is to close a research gap by examining and assessing the literature on mobile payment adoption. The present search was limited to databases that contained papers from conference proceedings as well as materials deemed to be the most important in the disciplines of digital/mobile payment adoption and related literature. Scopus, Science Direct, Taylor and Francis, The ACM Digital Library, Springer, IEEE, and Emerald Publishers are among the databases included. The findings lay the groundwork for a systematic examination of theories and factors influencing mobile payment uptake, as well as the development of mobile payment services in practice.
