Effect of Social Networking Sites (SNSs) Communication on a Relationship between Spouses: An Exploratory Research

Abstract

SNSs has had the necessary impact on the people who use it frequently in their daily lives. This case is also true for spouses. This study aims to examine the impact of SNSs on a relationship between spouses. The article is based on quantitative research. A random sample of 120 married respondents of each gender. A form was used as an information gathering tool. The document reveals that most of those interviewed were SNSs users. The common perception among the population was that SNSs each had a positive and negative impact on a relationship between them. Most of those surveyed are linked to Facebook because SNSs is simpler. The results revealed that the use of social networking sites has a strong impact on the relationship between spouses. The results of this study suggest that the broader use of social networking sites is authoritative to sever this relationship. Also, making several dangerous tendencies equivalent to divorce, marital infidelity and doubt.
