Psychological and social effects on the families of divorced underage females “A study on a sample of families of divorced underage in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan”

Abstract

The divorce of underage females has become disturbing phenomenon in the Jordanian society, hence the interest in this problem emerge and therefore this study investigated the negative psychological and social effects of divorce to underage females on their families in the Jordanian society in order to reach results that help in defining the problem and scientific and effective dealing with its social consequences. The source of information in this research is divorced underage females, heads their number was (204), and to achieve the objectives of this study, a special questionnaire was designed to measure the negative psychological and social effects of divorce of underage females on their families. The study reached many results that confirm the findings of previous Arab and foreign studies, most important results were  that is a relationship between social effects of the underage females divorced and psychological effects resulting from them, as the value of the relationship between the two variables was statistically significant at the significance level 0.001. It explains psychological effects that underage divorced females experience, consistent with many previous studies.
