Abstract

The general objective of this research was to determine the relationship between infidelity and family violence in the district of Abancay, 2021. It is descriptive correlational research, with a quantitative approach, non-experimental design and cross-sectional type. The population consisted of 84 people involved in cases of violence against women and members of the family group, and a sample of the entire population was determined by census sampling. The technique used was the survey and the instrument was the questionnaire. The results obtained show that there is statistically significant evidence (r=0.881) to affirm that there is a correlation between the study variables, where 96.7% of the respondents affirmed having suffered violence in their home due to infidelity, 90.5% affirm that intrafamily violence is an attempt against the life of the victims, in addition to violating constitutional rights and that the negligence of the authorities affects society by not imposing any sanction. We conclude that there is a direct and significant relationship between infidelity and family violence in the district of Abancay, 2021.
