Interaction between Obesity and Physical Fitness as Health Information of Malaysian Primary School Students: A Cross-Sectional Study

Abstract

Sports, leisure, social responsibility, and health care are all part of what physical education teaches. Students are also equipped to respond in an emergency and live a healthy lifestyle thanks to the lessons they've learned. In three schools in Zone Pudu, Kuala Lumpur, 165 obesed Level II children were surveyed to determine their obesity level and emotional intelligence in accordance with the National Physical Fitness Standard (SEGAK). According to the results, there are 165 obese kids at SK Jalan Peel, the bulk of them are in elementary school. The majority of those polled are overweight or obese, having a BMI between 30 and 35, and are physically inactive. They are mostly made up of female students, with a few male pupils. Teachers, parents, school officials, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Health may all benefit from the study's findings by better understanding how to deal with obese students and assist them become more physically fit.
